Report to Credit Bureaus and Credit Societies
Tala promotes responsible financial growth. However, to maintain the integrity of the credit system, we share information with credit reporting agencies (such as Metropol and TransUnion) in the following cases:
- Default: We only share information about loans that have not been paid for more than 90 days past the due date.
- Positive listing- This is to help improve your credit score and increase your chances of getting approved for future loans. This report covers performing loans that are in good standing and have not fallen into default.
🛡️ Guide to keeping your account secure
Security is a team effort. Follow these recommendations to avoid fraud:
- Never share your PIN or OTP: Your login PIN and one-time passwords (OTPs) are personal. No Tala employee will ever ask for them. Sharing them puts your account at high risk.
