At Tala, your safety is our top priority. We want to keep you protected from potential fraud, phishing attempts , or any unusual activity. Remember that, according to official agencies, no one is immune to identity theft, so prevention is your best defense.
🛡️ Golden Rules of Logging Safety
No matter what country you are in, remember that Tala will NEVER ask you for:
- Advance payments: We never request money before granting a loan, whether for insurance, fees, management, or "payment to release the loan."
- Confidential information: We will not ask you for passwords, PINs, security codes or tokens via social media or calls.
- External accounts: Never make deposits to accounts other than the official references that appear directly in your Tala application.
How to identify an attempted fraud?
1. Phone Calls and Messages
Be careful! Be suspicious of calls that ask you to verify personal information such as RFC, CURP, bank details, or confidential numbers.
- Safety tip: It's best to hang up and contact Tala directly through official channels to verify the call's authenticity.
- Note: Tala will contact you from different numbers only if your account is in collections.
Social Networks and WhatsApp
Scammers often send private messages with links to unofficial sites or false promises of increased loan limits in exchange for money.
